F. That. you need to hurt those "friends" real bad. No friend of mine would do somthing so disrespectful.

Dont be a puss about it though. Get a saw all on that thing, and make it a tank killer. Start by kiling what ever your miserable friend drives.

Glad everyone is ok, hopefully your buddy mans up and does what is right. Looks like it is time to make a F-Toy , good luck.

It's really not the end, ever thought about swapping cabs? If everything else is reasonably intact the cab's not as bad as it sounds (more time/PITA than anything). A forklift can "pop" the top, then some lexan for a temporary windshield and you're set. The cops let a lot fly around here but they popped my buddy driving with goggles after the cab was smashed.

Also the already mentioned option of building a trail tank, awesome idea too. Some people grimly wait for a build to end (or the payments to finish :D) for the opportunity to build a tube monster. The beatability factor opens up lots of new wheeling options...

Sorry to hear about the wrecked truck. If you really loved the truck, I know exactly the emotions you're going through, and yeah they suck big time!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Sucks that they took it, however it's not a total lost cause. I'd take said "friends" check book, and credit card to the junk yard and start buying parts. Keep said financial items and rebuild the thing into the truck you want. You could tube out the rear. The one hitch in that plan though is that with that kind of impact(s) your frame could be twisted, be sure to check it out.
