I hate to see "parts rigs" in such good shape as some of those I've seen on here recently. Good frames are cheap from Cruiser Parts. Easy resto.

Less than 100,000 FJ 40's ever imported into the US and some people cut them up and part them out like they are Heeps or Toyota is still importing them.

It makes me want to cry.

The Swiss Miss will never be a parts rig and she is worse than some.

Shame, shame. Where's the respect?

It comes down to what you can afford.
I bought mine to use for parts on my 40 and its helping other people restore their 40s... It's all in how you look at it.

That was a quick reply. Are you personally having pangs of guilt?

Signed,

:crybaby:

And where do you think James' frames come from? IMO he is one of the biggest culprits...

While I am parting out my project don't be fooled into think it won't be a solid truck again. The chassis, cab, bed and other main parts will be in very capable hand and she will get put back together. Many of the parts I am selling were accumulated for the resto or spares I collected along the way.

Also I agree with Bob. If nobody parted out trucks there would be no used parts. You could have saved the truck you parted out a while back but it would have cost more than it was worth though.

Sometimes there are trucks which have been sitting in a field and a clear title/ownership can't be proved so they can't be registered. I know MA and RI its next to impossible.

Great thing about America you are free to make your own choices. Maybe I will fill the new one with hay and raise bunnies.

Pretty sweet benzito...

Thats the older g wagen from late 80 early 90. They are rare in US with soft top. If u get one make sure u get the 5speed, Auto is super slow with 6cyl. They also have turbo diesels but not in US. Go figure.

So wilma passed inspection today and is legal on the road until january2015 while it did not need to pass smog they test anyway and i was surprised at how well it did

For those who need to submit vacation requests etc, plan on this year's FG being on the weekend of Oct 10-13.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Glad to hear your rig will live again. Plus bunnies taste just like chicken without the feathers.

I think there are plenty of used, nos and aftermarket parts around and also fabricators right here in this club.

That truck I parted out didn't have any frame or body left. That's different than parting out a reasonably decent restorable truck.

Non-Titled sale isn't a problem in NH. You can run one through here and then get a title anywhere.

How come so late? (works better for me)

There's a few reasons for it but mainly because its the only date we could secure the properties surrounding Gretchen's and Gretchen's on the same weekend.

It will be cold.
