Oh ho, man. You need to meet Alaska45. I just picked up a full set of OME suspension from him, some lights and other goodies and the cost to get it here was closer to a quarter of that. Bummer, T.

He's also an ARB, distr, etc. Good guy, sharp, low overhead, knows freight, knows cruisers inside and out, etc. He's on this board and definitely worth giving a shout for any of the Alaska guys looking to cut a deal on parts. Highly recommended.

You just had to say that when my wife was looking at the thread didn't you.:crybaby: Well, I guess I know who to go through now. Man, I wish I knew about him a few years ago. Would of saved me a bundle I'm sure.
Is the lift going on one of your 45's? DO you have both of them at home? Send me some pics of those things! My dream is eventually own a 45 SWB...someday

Lift looks great, a nice add on. I also like the paint scheme around the wheel wells, something I've been wanting to do.

Like your wife wasn't already a tad chapped about you lifting the truck that much, eh? That post was juuuust the spark it took. It sure looks sharp though and I hope she loves it.

Alaska45 put it on in MY garage. No kidding. I still have to shim the bed and body for it to fit perfectly but it's coming along. Waiting for plug to stick on my harness for a new alternator now. I stuffed a set of 255/85-16's on it a couple weeks ago.

This one's the '63. The '64 is in OR correcting some work that had been done poorly (or paid for but not done at all). Give a holler next time you'll be down this way.

highjack off

man. that doesn't sound right.

AKcruiserfreak is that the heavy front medium rear? I talked to alaska45 (seems like a good dude) maybe 2 weeks ago. And can't decide if I want to heavy or medium rear. How do you like yours so far? Wheeled it yet?

That is one heck of a nice 45 legion! The next time we are down there we'll give you a holler. Your right, the wife was already a little PO'ed about the lift in the first place. The way I look at it is, I don't have car payments and I drive vehicles that are all 16 years old or older, maintenance is mandatory, and I do all the maintenance myself. It just so happens that a "maintenance item" lifted the Cruiser a few inches. ;-)

Cruiseninak, It's a heavy front, medium rear. From what Cam told me at IPOR it's what ARB calls there "medium" kit. I can get you part #'s if you want. I haven't had a chance to get the 60 off the beaten path yet. Hopefully I can get it out this weekend and do a little hunting.

I have a copy of part numbers. Thanks though. Can't wait to hear how it works for you. And good luck with the hunt.

I am still trying to figure out if I want to go with a set of used medium springs in the rear or spring for the new ones. We had talked about 1450ish for parts matching cruiser outfitter ultimate heavy duty kit. Haven't got in to the shipping yet. We will once I make up my mind.

man that thing is clean!! Good job:cheers:

Thanks,it's definitely way cleaner than my last few 60's. I waited for a long time before I found one I felt wasn't going to rot out from underneath me. I did have some surface rust along the rockers from gravel roads, but I sanded it all down, POR-15'd it, and Herculined it just to keep it looking good. Now I just have to re-finish the undercarriage paint and figure out how to install a set of sliders I got last Summer.

does that heruliner work good? because I used that duplis color bedliner and it always chips off

Hurculiner seems to be way tougher than Duplicolor bedliner. I used Duplicolor on my last 60 and it also chipped off fairly quickly. My only complaint with Hurculiner is that it is rough enough to scrape all your knuckle skin off. Don't ask how I know. No chipping though and it looks good.

sounds good does it apply the same way as duplicolor?

ok sounds good! ya the duplicolor roll on is doing ok but the spray on one just plain out sucks and where did you buy your lift?

thats good to know even though I live 3 blocks from cruiser outfitters lol
