anyone installed one of these on the factory rack? If so can you show me your installs? Seems like the most awkward install and I really don't want to drill into

Yea it's a 100 series. But installation irritation goes back to my four runner lol

It might be easiest to get crossbars. I don't have any 100 series knowledge/experience so I can't help. I would think with the factory bars by just utilizing one side might not be strong enough. It seems they are made to support weight from top down, not pulling to the side. I'm sure someone will chime in. Good luck.

These could help. They clamp onto existing front to back roof rails. Then you can add your L-brackets on the ends to put the awning up.
