just one question , ?

i know it looks like a freeze plug , but i see a piece of old vacuum hose over a potential Recessed HEX hole spot plug possible in your green arrow photo ?

i would double verify thats indeed a freeze plug now
\

if it is , you simply have a older non-california cylinder head with ONLY

2 threaded coolant ports towards the back the two we outlined last night where

your New Hose BIB will Go , and the first new Temp Sensor Union for gauge in dash

if your Not required to take smog inspections , then simply deleting the thermo sensor and capping off its wire , for potential later use if needed is a good plan in my opinion ...........

- i am curious ?

where is your choke solenoid Wire's ? / wire

if u have a 2 wire one then on the fender , but if u have a single wire one then ?

- i do recall seeing a single wire choke solenoid leed coming from one of the
2 green wire plug terminals in the past ?

Matt,
Double checked , it is a freeze plug. Had a vacuum port cap in it.
No smog requirements in my state.
The choke solenoid is there, I am unable to bring it up and around toput it in its holder(clamp) due to the way it was put together. It’s on my list but I haven’t looked yet at how to accomplish that.

ok , here we are from start to a FSM finish level .

- your long dormant Thermo Red Wire will simply tuck up inside the Flame Proof Loom for possible later Use ....

- i had i last NOS green matching Connector , and followed your profile photos as we discussed

- i will cap off the thermo wire end for u

- well , Plug and Play she is ! :)

Thanks

PM sent

I’ll post up some photos here once I get the project going

One more problem solved. And it makes me so happy. The wiring from Toyota Matt looks great and confirms that the temperature sensor and temperature gauge work. I will leave it connected to one of the current temp sensors for now as I am acquiring the parts and pieces to replace all the heater and radiator hoses. Also rigged a way to get the in dash gauges covered with the radio blank. Looks like a PO butchered the factory hole.
