Telescoping Steering Wheel Feature not Working (3 Viewers)

Hi, all. I have an ‘05 LX470- recently purchased. I’ve been going through it to work out all the bugs. I noticed the steering wheel will tilt in a nice range of motion, but the telescopic feature doesn’t work at all. I had the column opened up a few weeks ago to replace the spiral cable and everything looks OK with the telescoping gear and brackets. Anyone else dealt with this? Ideas?

Throw a meter on the switch and work your way back to the tilt/tele ecu

Sounds to be active since he mentioned the tilt function works.
When the system is disabled it only disables the auto entry function but not the actual operation thru the switch.

Throw a meter on the switch to check for voltage when toggling. If not, work back to the ecu for proper voltage and any resistance in the circuit.

My tele works but no tilt. Just haven't worried about diaging it yet since I'm a set and forget, and I disabled the auto function.

When I get a chance to look at the wiring diagram I'll see if I can point you in a direction and post
