I've had the bumper on for a few weeks now and I think I'd give it 5/5 stars. Initially I'd have said 4/5 due to the gap between the bumper and the body of the truck. But while I was out on the trail last weekend, it dawned on my that the gap is by design. The bumper is clearly built to favor function over form while still looking great on the truck - but the gap gives it some room to move so the bumper doesn't become a damage multiplier. It would take a very serious hit to damage the bumper bad enough to then damage the truck behind it - I mean, this thing is BEEFY.
The bumper sits high and tight to the truck so approach angle is wildly improved - I wasn't able to find anything last weekend that it wasn't able to easily clear.
Dramatic improvement from the MetalTech Ghostrider I had on the truck before - in literally every way.
I've been using a Rig'd Rambleswing to cary the spare and some other stuff but seriously considering TCC's rear bar after seeing the quality of the front. I've got too much weight on the Rambleswing - was hoping to be able to use that in lieu of the bumper but it's not going to work out. I want to add an LRA tank so need to do something with the spare and the AluCab tent has consumed all of the roof rack storage options.
Install was pretty straight forward - no instructions available but it was easy to figure out. The supplied hardware seemed to be just a random assortment that they threw into a bag - was missing some major components. Nuts that didn't fit any of the supplied bolts, other bolts were missing entirely, etc. I was able to reuse some that I already had and order others - YMMV.
Anyhow - here's some pics
