We have a beautiful 2017 LC200, bought new this past spring - LOVE IT.

One quirk I'm noticing is I tend to rub the toe of my right foot on the taperware "shelf" right over the brake pedal... Mostly with dress shoes. BTW - my feet are not super large at size 10.5.
Wonder if there is something I can do about it?
I have the OE floor mats on order to replace a cheapo mats I have there now, which should help, but even with just factory carpet mats there my foot is still rubbing which makes for an uncomfortable feeling liek I'm catching something there sometimes.

Not a big deal, but want to make sure I don't have anything there hanging loose.
Here are some pics:

Curious that your feet would catch that as I'd think there'd be plenty of room for bigger feet still?

Thinking outside the box. Perhaps it's due to seating posture? Is your drivers seat all the way down? Perhaps if you raise the seating position, you may find that you interact with the brake pedal differently?

I'm a 13 and my toes hit it sometimes as well. IIRC when I removed it to install my trailer brake controller I thought about ziptie'ing it a bit higher

Thank you for fast replies! It helps to confirm I don't have anything braking loose, or hanging out of place, lol.
May try "ziptie'ing" that tray up, it does have fair amount of wiggle.

odd...never noticed that and I have substantially bigger feet than you?

EDIT: i have weathertech floor mats and still nothing...
I know, right?
I've tried to ignore this but keep bumping into that taperware which is just kind of unnerving when in morning traffic for example. It could be the way I fidget my foot...

i'm a lazy foot driver...have my heel way back and use my toe...habit from when I tore my achilles and drove with a cast and then a boot...I'm probably not a good one to ask...but now I'm going to think about it and see how it feels on my way home. Hopefully I don't notice anything or I'll blame you. ;)

Same here... Weathertech, size 14 and no issues. Curious what’s going on there. :meh:

Okay, that convinces me to look into it a little more!
I must have something un-clipped or loosened up.

Yeah, I think it must be the stupid mat.
When measured, the distance between the floor and the tapperware cover is almost 1" greater with factory carpet mat only.
Waiting for the OEM mats, hopefully a better fit.
That said, just looked up wife's 2016 4Runner LTD - there is no tapperware up there, just those white plastic vents and LED light sticking out, and a lot more room up there (over the brake pedal).
So, I'm still a bit puzzled (my feet are not that big!!)
Took this pic after coming back from work today, I feel like I'm loosing my mind, lol. this is my foot wearing a Cole Haan size 10.5M - heel resting on the floor mat and the toe definitely touching that tapperware thingy... (I'm not making this up)

Now - I never need to have the toe of my foot floating up there and pulled up, I guess it is just a habit that went unnoticed before.
When pressing the brake pedal down - there are no issues:

- so this is not affecting safety or pedal operation in any way. It just feels really weird to touch something up there with the toe of your shoe while driving...

200 Series problems; My wingtips rub on some plastic. :p
LMAO
that's funny.

EDIT: Okay, got my OEM mats this morning. I guess now I can go off-roading!
