Taking a break on the awning project to start and finish the topper mods to the M100. Painted the top today with the hammered silver and it looks passable but not really good. I am a but dissapointed with the look so no photos to look at. I am in the process of painting the trailer the same color as the 80 and am thinking it might look ok that color.

These photos are of some hinges I fabbed up for the topper. After looking in a bunch fo places for ready made, I really couldnt find any that worked with the way I made the topper so I decided to make my own. I bought a pin fron the hardware along with some washers and that clip. I welded some flat stock to a couple pieces of 1' od, 1/2" id tube that I cut to a length I thought would work well. There is no play or wobbble with the washers in place and I think it will be plenty tough for supporting the topper. They are not painted or welded in place yet because it is time for bed and te back is killing me tonight. I will, of course, post some photos of the finished project when the trailer is painted and the gas struts are in. Thanks for looking. Comments welcome as usual.

I like that idea, I had a buddy of mine who was a welder and made hinges like that for big bar-bq grill lids. Seemed to work good

looks great. Might want to look into securing them somehow.

Just .02

I really love your kitchen grub box, will that go in the trailer?

Securing as in locking them in? Cotter pins are next. I put those in the hinges for the tailgate. I want it to be removeable so I dont want to make the hinges perm.

The grub box fits in with 1" on the ends and 1/4 top to bottom. Designed to fit with another storage box on the other side. I actually thought ahead on that one  .

That is exactly how I am doing mine. I am basically ripping off the drifta drawers.

Can't wait to see it in there!

another cool idea you could do if using this trailer when camping is to attach the small cast iron pipe flanges at each corner. then when you roll up to the camp spot. take the gate off screw in some 1 inch pipe and you have yourself a nice camping table :D :D :D
