Does anyone happen to know what thread the 2 little screws are that hold in the taillights? I broke them off trying to remove the taillights and need to drill and tap them.

Maybe in the list of bolts in the FAQ thread. My first guess would be the same at the lens screws if that are threaded and not the self tapping kind. Can you get the screw out of the other light - kroil and some soak time would be very helpful.
A common 'trail fix' if the holes are too buggered is to step up to an M5 or even a #10-24 tap, but M4 is the original factory size. Just be careful when drilling, the housing is thin and it’s easy to wander off-center into the plastic or the surrounding metal.

Nearly every 'general' bolt/screw on a 40 falls on three options....M5x.09, M6, M8x1.25. Take your caliper, tape measure and measure and you'll know which to get.
