I'll eventually do the lower one piece repro. Lucky to have the upper in decent shape. Came down to $500 for repro tailgate rubber or less than $100 to seal it up with existing pieces and substitutes and $400 for a low miles Ranger overdrive. Overdrive won!

Ran up to Cabe at lunch and got the upper tailgate rubber surround and both cargo window rubbers. All are in stock at about $220.00 each. Nice guys at Cabe and they say they can get more if we buy em out.

Thanks for the explanation on the piece from Slocruisers. I was staring to get confused. The weatherstripping on these things is enough to drive a fellow over the edge.
Completely understand trying to save a few bucks where you can. There are enough other areas to eat it up. The vent window and fixed rear door window seals are eating my lunch right now. I'm looking for any alternative I can find to keep from spending that money. Don't mind a couple hundred but when it gets over 3 and 4 hundred I start to get the shakes.
I also got my upper tailgate run and cargo window stripping from Cabe. It will be a while before I can install but it is nice looking stuff and Cabe was easy to deal with.
