Tailgate interchangeability for 85 SR5

Hey guys, I picked up an 85 SR5 extended cab pick up but it was short a tailgate. i talked to a friend that has a 84 parts rig with a decent tailgate so my question is will the 84 fit the 85 or do I need to look for something else.

Yup, same. (as long as it it is a "one touch" tailgate with the handle in the middle)
