Hey guys.

Building a new rear bumper for my '85 and moving my tail lights down into it.

I know this thing used to have a converter box on it for trailer lights and that turn signals are separate from brake lights.

Can I use tail lights that use brake and turn lights on the same wire or do I need to install 4 lights instead of 2?

Thanks!

You'll have to keep the converter. You'll need to put it upstream of the taillights. If you just try to splice them together, the turn signal will back-feed into the system and light up the brake light on the other side.

I figured as much. My converter was causing some problems, so I cut it out. So, I guess what I will do is run 2 red stop lights, and two yellow blinkers, that should work....

Thanks for the info!
