Yahoo!!! With your guys' help and a little bit of logic, I thought late last night that since the PO used bullet connectors, connecting the green coming out of the dash to the black and the red to the green going into the connector, I should try disconnecting the black and red wires from their green counterparts and connect them directly together. It worked. The tail lights work and the license plate lights work, so everything in the rear is working (although I still haven't had someone get out to see if the back-up lights work but that's less impt. to me in general. I will see, though). I realize there shouldn't be any bullet connector at all but at least they work. Now those black and red wires that aren't going anywhere REALLY aren't going anywhere!
Still don't know why the PO cut the fuel sender yellow and red wire from the six-pin connector and by-passed it, but at least the fuel gauge works.
I've asked Phil of AUStoUSA to give me the contact info of the PO but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I figured I'd ask the PO some questions about the whys.
This is a GOOD morning!!
