Tow strap? WHAT tow strap?

OH...you mean the fish stringer! Yep, it's a 2" yellow one, big enough for most all the trout and redfish I catch down here....so far.

The extinguisher is a Kidde B-C, as shown here: White Fire Extinguisher

we keep these on the boat, and since it's 'official comapny issue' for us, I thought that.....well, never mind....you know how that works. It's a 2-lb. It is not exactly attached TO the DS 3rd row harness mount, but just below it,,,3 screws and self locking nuts. I honestly don't know how much it was..we buy these in bulk...I'd think any marine supply place would have them, though. I'd send you one, but I can't get it to your Paypal account. I also bought an extra panel just in case I took it out so I didn't have to look at the holes...it's the "Pristine" factor I learned from you long ago.

Those are backup lights all right....mounted below the factory tow bar. Absolutely useless for most who are reading this. I placed them there intentionally to address a visibility problem I had with one particular boat launch...angled them about 10 degrees 'out' so I could see what the *&$@& I was doing. Remember that rear heater switch I sent? Well, I use one of them in this application, too. 'HI' allows manual operation, and 'LO' activates them when I shift to reverse. 'HI' is fun when someone is following a little too closely at night, too.

Yep......forgot about that one!

The picture of the tow lines looks like a giant slingshot about to shoot the photographer through the rear windsield.

Guards

Brush guards, tail-light guards are all guards alright, guards that you'll suffer more damage if they get hit. I saw a rig with a brush guard on it that got front ended and it ruined his whole front end as the brush guard smacked up everything, whereas if he hadn't had the bling factor going he'd just been out a bumper and not the whole front end cosmetically...about $3500 worth of damage from a fender bender gone bad because of a brush guard.

The above pics for uses of the tail-light guards....

Tuscaloosa! :-) PM me....we need to get together....I've got a bunch of good Pascagoula river swamp roads that I'd trade for a few hill's up your way!

I had a Manik on my 4runner. Got into a small fender bender in traffic here. $4100 in damage later, I got an ARB and haven't looked back. the guard cracked a headlight, dented both fenders, dented the hood, busted the grill, and cut the valence on the front bumper. Oh, it also ripped two of the mounting points for the "braces" under the hood in front of the radiator.

Here's a before pic right after I got it and before the wreck...

And here's a pic of after... mmmmm, much better...

Hmmmm... too bad I don't have the title in hand or that might be tempting... What color is your LX? Throw on an ARB front and a Kaymar rear w/ carrier (and some front and rear ARB's if you don't have lockers already) and we can talk... :D

Within the next ten days, it will be getting a full OME suspension, 2" roger brown ultimate body lift, LX450 wheels w/ 285/75 MT/R's and a Warn M8000.

What part of the coast are you on? I grew up across the bay from Mobile.

bamachem That ARB is gorgeous on there- nice job on the paint match, is that paint or powder coat? Did you get a local shop to match the colors?

Thanks. Did all the repair work myself including paint. I repaired the fenders, got a HL from the junk yard, and got the hood from Toyota. I painted the ARB to match. It's going in next year's catalog (supposedly). I took the pics for them and in return I got a free compressor, air up kit, & hd line PLUS got a RD23 rear locker for dealer cost... Can't beat that.

What I like about it is that if you didn't know better, you'd think it was stock.

Blamo was right... Following your lame-ass line is what did it. :D

No new rear flare, but I did get some of the upgraded '01 tails since I was replacing one anyway....

But a TAIL LIGHT GUARD would have saved you... :D

or you could have just followed my line for real and not have eaten the dirt wall...not a scratch on mine! :D

MUHAHAHAHAHA!

No, a tail light guard would have caused body damage and broken plastic instead of just broken plastic. You also don't have 2.5" flares sticking out over your tires to worry about... I won't be worrying about them after I get the 16x8 LX wheels on there next tues and the rubber sticks out just past the flares... :D

What I think BOTH of you should do is get some of these. Every little extra bit of protection helps....Plus, they are probably available to match our taillight guards:
