my buddy told me that i would get more arto if i pulled my sway bar, would that be a good idea?

yes it helps but you get alot more body roll.

depends on tire size and if you are turning, hard to say without seeing the truck.

The increase in travel won't be huge (maybe 1"), and the body roll is only noticable for the first few days while you get used to it (unless you drive your truck like a sports car). Like a previous poster suggested, it's a very good idea to upgrade your front coil springs and go with a stiffer option to help control the front end.
