Matt,
Have thought about the Dodge and Ford diesel pickup market - they like heavy duty over-kill bumpers and may want something a little different than the bolt-on after market equipment currently available.
Thanks guys.
Glenn, I have though about it, and I am not saying no, in fact I will gladly take their money. When you look at 3/4 the domestic trucks out there do not see dirt roads, out of the remaining trucks rarely are driven in any way close to what we do. Almost all of the pavement princesses out there are happy with bumpers that look tough but are made out of 1/8" steel and are primarily show pieces. I am happy to make heavy duty bumpers for anyone and any truck that is interested and once I have a chance to focus on the business full time I will try to get into that market as well.
And let's be real, I saw your rear bumper, that thing is not light either and it is heavy duty as well.
The rear is 3/16" for the swings outs and 1/8" for the corner/ side protection - nothing 1/4". Still I wish I built it lighter. With all the armor, roof rack and 35s I have lost 2 mpg since I got the truck. Loaded on a big trips its 6,200 lbs.
On the Cummings mall cruisers - they may want unique macho designs - like in the spirit of your front bumper - something different from the standard bolt on easy available design. Just a though, because they seem to drop huge coin on non-functional upgrades.
