Had my 200 on a trickle charger all week and when I started it yesterday it fired and immediately died. 2nd try, same thing. 3rd try it kept running and seemed to be “rebooting” itself. Seems to be running fine now but the message “ System is initializing” won’t go away and the wheel track graphics won’t move now when the wheel is turned.

I can mess with it now but I discommect the battery and see if it clears. I assume I can reconfigure the camera graphics in set up.

Any thoughts on if the trickle charger did something?

Mine would do the initializing thing after any battery disconnect. My understanding was it needed some drive time and differing conditions/wheel positions to go through its range of calibration then the lines would appear as normal. Or this has always worked for me.

As for why after the trickle.. agree your battery may be done.

I’ll put my tester on it when I can later today. Alt week it showed “good” with a healthy rating of 90% or something. I have no idea what the “healthy” thing is other that some calc based on whatever the tester does when it runs a test. I really hate electrical issues. Mechanical things are much easier for me to understand.

Trust me I get it.

How old is the battery?

The initializing will take a cycle or two of driving. I’ve had this a couple of time when the battery was swapped

The battery is only 2 years old and it’s an 84 month Toyota battery. The tester shows this:

I don’t think it’s the battery. I disconnect the battery and let it set a while and tried again. This made a config setup screen pop up telling me not to shut it off until done. When it got done, it still said “system is initializing“ but then I hit a “?” Button and it said turn the wheel to full lock each way so I did and all seems good now.

I’ve had that battery disconnect for days at a time before and it’s never done that. The 12.93 v is higher than when I’ve checked before. Could the trickle charger have overcharged the battery? It’s a NOCO and is supposed to be “smart”. Don’t see why 12.9 v would be a problem.

Perhaps setting the lock to lock position of the wheel allowed the system to fully initialize?

Yes. I think so. I probably didn’t need to disconnect the battery.
