Snowing like crazy here, so I decided to try the 2nd gear switch on the transmission.....shocking it made a big difference accelerating from a stop!! Just thought I would share!!

By coincidence I'm also in Madison (well Fitchburg actually) and read your post while watching it snow outside.
So you inspired me to go try ECT 2nd on a hill on our street. Seems to me starting uphill is a good use case
for this. Although it's not too slippery here yet I did also notice that the "start in 2nd" mode did make a
noticeable difference, and is worth knowing about. Thanks for sharing.

I liked using it when I had a coffee in my hand or old people/sleeping babies in the truck as well.
Airing down is the key to snow traction.
