Swamp Lake Trail - California - Anyone been / want to go? (1 Viewer)

Looking at tackling this trail maybe this summer. Looks like a really good trail. None of my Overland buddies want to take it on in their soft rigs. Gonna be taking the FJ40 up there but the wife won't let me go alone. Have seen a lot of Rubicon's and modified 4Runners on the trail but not any FJ40's. It is suggested for long wheelbase vehicles, which is not my FJ40. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience up there recently or should I find another trail nearby.

Looks like a fun trail. Interested to hear your review. Not ready to make my 200 a rock crawler just yet. Let us know how it goes.

I've done the trail with Pismo Jim and Sethzilla back in 2013 in my 80. It Had 285s and 1 inch lift, metal tech sliders and front stinger bumper. Its a fun challenging trail. Pretty much takes at least 5 or more hrs to get through I'll be doing Coyote lake trail Labor day weekend with a group of friends.
