Okay, I've got a weird one someone can help me with. Last week, after I went fishing, I noticed my 96 LX450's engine RPMs would surge up and down as I barley touched the gas. It Idles fine and if I step on it, it's fine, but if I barley put on the gas the engine starts to surge and eventually die. It has gotten so bad I can't drive it. The code that comes up is P0130 which is an O2 sensor and that seems strange to me. I thought it could be a faulty Throttle Position Sensor so I'm not sure why it would have that code. I'm not mechanically savvy so I haven't checked or replaced anything. Don't know how. Any insight would be great. Thanks

if you can't check or replace anything seems having someone else fix it is your only option.
I can always try the simple stuff.

Try looking around the engine for disconnected or cracked hoses. That's easy and cheap. The intake hose is often cracked if its never been replaced.

I checked the intake hose and noticed that it wasn't on the intake all the way and the hose clamp wouldn't tighten. When I removed it, I looked it over really well and didn't see any cracks or holes so hopefully it was just sucking air from the loose hose. I still need to get a new hose clamp for it but since putting it all the way back on I haven't noticed it surging like it did. I'm going to run it next week and if it doesn't surge the problem fixed... I hope. If not then I'll figure out how to test the O2 sensor and replace it.
Thanks for your help.

I believe the intake hose was sucking air. Once I put it on all the way and put a new hose clamp on, it seemed to work fine.
