You can park in front of the Elks club. Its right up the street from the dune entrance. My inlaws have done it for years when they would come down an visit us while camping. Even staying overnight with no problems. And they drive a mercedes benz....

My wife is coming with the kids in a CAR a day after me...

Is there a good spot to park a car for the weekend near the entrance?

I plan on picking them up in the 40 when they get there...

I park my tow rig right around this corner without any trouble: Google Maps link

Closer to the beach there are "no overnight parking" signs.
