So, I packed up the wife and dog and decided to head up to Pismo State Beach to get away from the holiday mess and celebrate a nice quite Thanksgiving. This is my cruiser pulling our Chalet Alpine "Trail Boss" edition trailer. It is kinda cool that it is hard-sided and pops up into an A-Frame and comes with a suspension lift from the factory. And best of all, it keeps the :princess: happy while we camp!

On the way up we stopped off at In N' Out in Ventura. So i pull up and what pulls up behind me. A guy with a '92 80 pulling a huge trailer. He said it sleeps 2-3 inside and another 3 in the RTT. It had a stove over the wheel wheel and looked pretty cool. He is on MUD but unfortunately, i am bad with names and forgot it already.... Anyhow cool trailer:

So we ended up talking "shop" for about 30 minutes and we headed up the road to Pismo! Camping was great and we found some great dunes to explore while trying to not get stuck:

I am hoping I can actually make to S n T next year, but oh well...At least we got to spend a fairly relaxing weekend camping and exploring the dunes!

everyone is still recovering from SnT... :)

Lookin' good Sean!..... how were the crowds? all at Glamis?

The crowds were not too bad at all. Although i saw way too many confederate flags to be comfortable! It was a good weekend, we camped far away from toy hauler row and had some great peace and quiet.

Wow, can't imagine pulling anything with the 3fe... and I'm over geared with 5.29s and 35s!

Ya, i agree. His trailer looked rather heavy but he said he had no problems towing it on or off road. My trucked towed the loaded trailer, 3 adults and 2 dogs OK, but it defiantly is not my dream tow rig.

You figure out how to get a portable toilet? After Mohave Rd, my :princess: is not all about camping without facilities. Cant really blame her I suppose, but I'd rather poop in a dirt hole than a port-a-potty, so my opinion may be biased.

Ya, it has a porta-potty that stows away.....Not fun for me but you know how it goes. So ya, the built in furnace, hot water heater, fridge (now plus the ARB fridge in the cruiser so i have room for the :beer:) and outside shower keep her relatively happy.

I agree about the poopin in a hole...Much better than having to clean out the porta-potty when i get home :frown:!
