Superior/Florence Junction area sites...

I've been wanting to check out the Superior/Florence Junction area after driving 60 in the dark when moving here and was talking to Brittany about making a short weekend trip out of it. Any particular must hit trails or mines or places to camp?

It looks like there's a lot of awesome stuff in the area, but from what I've gathered thus far probably best to stick to walnut or box canyon areas as it'll just be the two of us in a stockish 40?

Appreciate any suggestions

Montana Mountain, Battleaxe Road, Box Canyon, any of the number of trails around the Gila River east of Florence. Also Bulldog Canyon (check with Forest Service for permit/code) has some good trails to explore as well.

I'd recommend getting a State land trust permit too.

Awesome thanks. Bulldog Canyon was actually the first thing I did when I moved out here...went on a whim on a Thursday afternoon and about fell over when I saw what was in my backyard! Also picked up a land permit last night...looking forward to checking things out
