I like threads like this. I hope you actually do it. Fun project for sure. I talked to a guy at the lake that had a vintage flat bottom boat with a V-drive and Chevy V8. He had a turbo on each exhaust feeding a blower on top. Water intercooler under the blower. Looked menacing and super fast.
Pictures of the engine? I have never seen compound forced induction in the wild. Interest and encouragement are always motivating. I will keep putting this project together as time allows.

@nab856 I wish I was able to get a pic. I caught him as he was pushing away from the sand bar. I think it was an old Biesemeyer hull. I don't remember if the turbos were on cast manifolds or a type of header. I don't remember what induction. I think it had a blow through setup with carbs?? There were many hot boats hanging out that day.

Another guy, also with an old Biesemeyer put a turbine engine from a Huey helicopter in connected to his V-drive. That one I saw at the same lake on the ramp. Many years ago as I took a pic with a film camera.

Here's my wimpy boat. Only 200 2-stroke HP though. I did have a B&M blower on my SBC powered 4x4 Suburban tow/camping vehicle back then. Sorry, now back to your Toyota.

Your boat looks like all sorts of fun! Nice way to unwind after a weeks' worth of work.
