Well, I'm behind the curve on getting this published, but I will bring a few printed copies to the meeting tonight, 19 May 2015 for review. The BOD can authorize a vote, or postpone to next meeting to vote (allowing members time to digest proposed changes).
here's the summary of proposed changes:
1. Re-format Article III, Section 4 (Charter Members list)
2. Change Article III, Section 5 to eliminate the $5 60-day late dues fee
3. Change Article IV, Section 1 (General Meetings) to authorize venue change by posting notice to the IH8mud.com clubhouse forum
4. Change Article IV, Section 2 (Annual Meeting) to eliminate the necessity to mail an Annual Meeting announcement to members
5. Change Article IV, Section 5 (Board of Directors Meeting) to modify the text regarding the BOD meeting frequency and duration
6. Change Article VI (Management) to exclude the former President as a member of the Board of Directors
7. Eliminate Article IX (Suspension) because the topic is covered in Article III, Section 7
8. Change Article X (Amendments) to Article IX, and emphasize the Annual Meeting as the ordinary venue for voting on Bylaws revisions, but authorize changes based upon membership vote during General Meetings as well
9. Change Article XI (Committees and Representatives) to Article X, and add “Web Page Editor” to the Newsletter Editor
10. Change Article XII (Safety) to Article XI, and re-write paragraph to emphasize “hold harmless” concept to participation in Club activities/events
