Orange....Gotta be going up slick rock?
Yup, that was on attempt number one. Broke a motor mount on that run on slickrock itself, second time made it all the way up to the last ledge and broke a birf trying to back up to try a different line. Real fun trail.
OME 2.5, 31's, sway bars obviously attached.
Did you get that dent on the driver's side fender from a concrete gas station pole? Only reason I ask is because I got a matching one, same side, same height, but behind the tire instead of in front of it.
says I got it because I'm so damned stubborn. So how did the rest of that trail go for ya ? I know its hard on 60s with a ton of overhang. I scraped really hard on the infamous golden crack.Nice recall on old thread. Here's my 60 2.5 BDS and SR, no sway bar on Golden Crack. Where'd the front tire go??? I think it ramped about 870RTI on 30 degree ramp, and then leaned to the left for about three weeks.....
I split my front driveshaft yoke in half on one of the rock ledges while heating up my tiresand spent the next day at crawlfords shop making a new driveshaft. Really fun trail, school bus was another really fun one. If ya havnt next year we will have to have at it together.
I saw your truck parked at the base of school bus the day it rained, my group was heading up. IMHO that was the hardest trail by far, i didnt see guardrail but the FJ trail team made it through lower 2 so that certainly isnt the worst. The day we went up it was so greasy it was almost impossible to walk it, much less drive it.
Next year im staying on the tennessee side, the drive to trail one sucked. Never again.
