As I look through many old publications and articles....Some had them, and some did not.
What I am finding is that most SWB FJ45's had them, but LWB's did not. However, I don't have enough to back that claim up.
My reasoning is this.
Being the second owner of my rig (given the P.O. doesn't remember last week) I would wager to say my front end has never been touched.
Given that the stamped bezel cruisers did not have "TOYOTA" in the mesh radiator grille, mine does. And as I inspect it, unless he changed it out in the 60's or 70's, this was on there from the factory.
So in short, I guess I am asking if by not having a stamped bezel, was it replaced or like that from Japan?
LWB w/o stamped bezel, 40 series with one, and another with the 45 swb with one. (my same year 63')
Just curious as I start tinkering on the little things. It may not matter to most.....
thanks - dallas
