Bring that Sammi on a good ledge climb, or where you actually need real power to the ground. There is a reason people are jumping all over the stretched Wranglers for serious project base...the longer wheelbase is better.
So yes, on trails where a very small rig is an advantage, it will do well. There are other places, such as Moab, that favor longer wheelbases in a major way.
The point is for you to learn how and where you got stuck and why, independent of the lockers. It has nothing to do with the other vehicle.
