Stripping Paint and chrome from an 80 grille

As the tittle suggest, I recently purchased a plastic grille for my 97 80 fzj, it has been painted black by the PO and paint is peeling and the original chrome has some bubbles. I did some research online and found some people used easy off oven cleaner, so I gave it a shoot. I did work some what but it left behind a lot of the black paint and the chrome is intact. Do you guys know of any plastic stripper that will do the job?. I found online bulldog aircraft flexible plastic paint stripper, but the grill is not flexible so I am afraid to damage the plastic.

Do NOT use paint stripper. Bead or soda blast. Anything else and it will peel again.....

Brake fluid works for removing paint and won't damage the plastic
