yeah I thought of that after posting, can't really helicoil it after making the hole big nuff for the 9/16 stud. BUT, it's hard to say for sure as i don't know what size the hole has to be to take the Helcoil.

i just measured a 12mm helicoil .578 OD. That is .015 larger than a 9/16 bolt. Not possible.
