I've got a strange issue with my J100 (2004) today - the car was locked and after a while I've heard the siren from the alarm system inside the car.
Opening/closing the doors, starting the engine etc didn't help - I've disconnected the batteries and once I've connected them again the car was silent.
So far so good.
But now in the dash I see the "open door" warning light on despite the closed doors. It's kind of dimmed, but you can still see it, like if it has 3V instead of 12V.
If I open any door - the symbol goes bright, as usual.
Right now I do not know where to start searching. I've checked the door sensors, everything is fine.
Any ideas?
ps. it's raining hard since a day. Last time I had severe issues with electrical parts in J100 during the rain because of the water, coming into the car behind the windshield - but that was fixed a couple of years ago and I don't see any water inside anymore.
