Your copy of Toyota Trails, featuring BBCNN, should be in your mailbox by now. Just got my copy. We got upstaged by the Baja saga for the cover, which I really want to read.

Overall, the magazine looks like a really good issue. Lots of good features throughout. I think the Steam Shovel story was given a great page count. Hope y'all like the story. I had to pretty much rewrite the whole thing, but I tried to stay true to the lessons I learned on that trip, and the guys who helped me through the technical stuff.

Awesome Keith...
Havent gotten it yet, but congrats all the same!

Thanks. I just hope I represented the club well. If I didn't then it could get awkward on the trail.
I have this vision of failing miserably at doing so, and later I'll need a spotter…

"OK, come forward, little more, keep moving forward …"

CRUNCH!

"OK, you're good."

Since most of us can't string more than four or five words together into one coherent sentence I'm sure whatever you do will be more gooder than any of us.

Read the artice this AM in my "OFFICE"!
Great frickin job man!
I liked how each section had a theme title.

That did happen. It was too funny. Even though it's the end, turns out it set up the story really well. I wanted to do that originally, but couldn't quite figure it out.

I've lost count how many times I've heard conversations like that up here. I grew up in Central California and there aren't many timeshares in Visalia. You just run into people who have too much money to throw away on things like timeshares and yet when it comes to spending money on something that actually will get them out doing fun stuff, they won't, or they'll just talk like they will.

Did I mention the name of the restaurant? It's Austin's, like the one on south Virginia. This is the original Austin's. It's across the street from the Hyatt in Incline. Menu has fewer items, but if you want a lot of food for reasonable money, it's a great place. And the lake is just down the street. Patio seating in the summer. Great conversations all around.

got mine Awsome job on the write up Keith except for Johns last Name hehe it's Tisor anyway very nice job and great pics bud

Well, darn it.

My apologies to John, I was going off what he wrote on the back of a business card. I'll send a correction to the magazine. Have to set the record straight.

It's rare that I have a drink with a meal because I have gout. Makes me think twice before ordering alcohol. It's much smaller than the Reno Austin's. No room for a bar (but that shouldn't stop you from visiting the Paddle Wheel next door), but they have a decent beer selection and the wine list is respectable as well.

My copy finally showed up.

You writ way gooder than I could. :hillbilly:

We really need to get you a seat on Fordyce this year. That would make a sweet write up for Trails.

BTW I just got an e-mail from BODREPSI, the cut off for the next TT issue is friday. We could still get a short club report in.

Keith,

My TT's was waiting for me upon our return home. What a wonderful article and story you crafted. And the pictures were very good too! Well done!
