I don't recognize that one. Depends what you mean by "stock". They were all dealer installs, so it very well could be original to the truck.![]()
Thats what I ment, so they didn't come with heaters from the factory? When did they first come from the factory with heaters?
I think Living In The Past once said it was '65, or mid '65.

I know it was a option in 65 for a factory installed heater. A few have claimed that their 64 had one. Still waiting for picture proof to be sure it just wasn't a early production 65. 66 the heater became standard in the US market. An easy way to tell if the heater was a 65 or earlier factory installed heater is look at the that fresh air inlet in the passenger's cowl. 65 had the louvers at a 45 degree angle. The 66 thru the 71 model year the louvers are straight. After the 71 model year the louvers no longer were a bolt piece but stamped into the cowl on both sides.![]()
My 62 doesn't even have louvers.
My 62 doesn't even have louvers.

Conversely, my 10/64 lwb45 had the diagonal louver for the fan, but the windshield frame was NOT cut for the defroster ducts.

Well that's a first. Probably an opps at the factory. I'm sure there were markets that still did have a heater option. Your windshield must have been for one of those markets. Too bad there is no way to tell what day the vehicle came of the line like the block and head have. That way you could say it was Friday thing or maybe just a new kid on the line and grabbed one off the wrong stack.Pre 64 we have no way to know the month much less the day
