A carter carb? Like it says in your sigline? Doh.
Don't know anything about a carter. I do know that the E-67 distributor does not want vacuum at idle. Maybe check those two ports (A & B) to see what kind of vacuum they provide?

Hook up a vac guage to the ports on the side of the carb by the valve cover and make sure there is no vacuum at idle, but that you get some as rpm's increase. If you do a search you can find the correct amount of vacuum, but as long as it behaves in this manner you have most likely got it correct. This is vacuum retard.
