It's a 2018 with 24k miles. Insurance is offering about $60k. The dealership generated a list of code issues and then priced out replacement of the parts and labor related to the codes. They made no specific diagnosis and did not want to attempt a repair.

The upside to all of this, is I am learning about my vehicle in the comfort of my driveway. When the damage was at it's worst, everything muddy and wet, the truck got me home. I think the chances are low that this incident will strand me in the future because I have accessed so much of the damage and the damage at it's worst was not a show stopper. I believe I am doing the right thing by keeping the car, but of course only time will tell.

Yep, I think it might be tough finding a 2017, 2018, 2019 with 24K miles in the low $60's....

It sounds like you might become the expert on "under the carpet electronics" replacement and repairs here very soon...

Good Luck with the restore...

The next step is the amp re-install when it comes next week,
Oh you're putting an ML back in. That is straightforward. I replaced with an aftermarket dsp and separate amplifiers.

If you value your time, go with the ML amp. If you want a boutique sound ND don't kind a few compromises on UI, the aftermarket is better. The trouble is the stock system amps 12 channels.
Example: 12 channel dsp $500
Two four channel amps $250
One sub amp $100
One sub $150
Install kits $100
Misc $100
This is what I ended up with. It is audibly far superior to the ML.
I had to iterate and spent more and much time.

You probably already did this (hopefully before you drove it home), but if not, replace the fluid in both differentials, the transfer case, and change the oil. If any of those fluids showed any dirt/water in them I'd do it again after a thousand miles or so just to be sure.

Good for you diving in and tackling this. I suspect you will get everything sorted out, or at least enough to keep using the truck. Hopefully you plan to keep this one a long time to be worth the hassle.

I don't need boutique-level sound quality. Is ML the original amp? Is $1700 a reasonable price?
Rebuild is $400 to $600. There are many posts on the options for rebuild service in the Lexus forum. I believe there is a standing rebuilt item on Ebay as well.

My amp failed due to age, a rebuild didn't appeal to me as what I saw on other forums was that the amp would just fail in a different way, due to age in another area, so multiple rebuilds were done over 2-5 years. I don't love the HU, and as soon as prices come down on the android HU I'll be putting one of those in too. At that point I'll be entirely ML free.

You may have an odor coming from the seats at some point. I've had great success with distilled white vinegar. I used a hand held steamer with about 90% vinegar and 10% water and sprayed it in the middle of the seats to hit the cushioning. Might need 2 or 3 sessions.

I'm sorry, I have been treating this like an LX570. You most certainly have a TLC.

The MOST error is a type of audio/video protocol. Like ethernet for Audio. It's related to the missing stereo.

You also have a seat control code bold, that is probably related to the missing seat.

I got a speed sensor error for having grease in the sensor (failed rear wheel bearing). They're easy enough to pull out and clean.

That should all be waterproof. Maybe if it got hit by a stick or something.

Possible it could also be for one of the front ABS sensors..

Did your insurance co offer a buyout and option for you to keep the truck? When my 80 was totaled after me hiring an arbitrator they brought their offer way up and gave a great offer on me keeping the 80. I really wanted to but have no open garage space and don’t live in a good where you can wrench in the driveway for months.
I would look into
The option of keeping the Vehicle with a salvage title and taking a chunk of the payout to build the rig. These things get dunked in the rest of the world on a regular basis.

If theres an option of insurance totalling it and you buying it back. Do it.
