Me and one of the docs from work are PLANNING on Steve's loop on Sat if anyone wants to go.
Might change due to the storm coming, but if youre interested...

What a FUN little trail!
Start to finish with just the 2 rigs, it only took us about an hour. After the second waterfall, we stopped and BS'd for about an hour. Ill say the waterfalls (first 2), get youre attention. Realy have to mind the diffs.
Ive gotta say. That lil rubicon is a NICE LITTLE rig. Light and nimble! We got off the trail and back on the HWY before the rain really started to come, so it was a good run.
We saw Rusty Dan and his :princess: in the 100 series driving out pyramid....How was the exploring?

Looks like you all had fun. We had a great time but did not make the route we had planned. We ran into a water crossing that looked like it could either be a piece of cake or bottomless mud. Being solo we decided not to chance it.
 
Looked like a fun day Keith! Also it looks like SL is a little more challenging than when some of us did it a couple years ago.
 
Its a cool little trail. It would be a nice spot to really TEST mods. Thhe waterfall sections IMO would be a great place to just screw around at for a few hours going up and down trying different lines. Ill be back there a bit more frequently now that I know what its like and how easy and short it is. Itd be like going to the gym for wheeling. GO for a few hours after work, head back...make some dinner..

No joke! I just wish it was closer. There are a few guys from here in Fallon going to Moon Rocks this weekend. Might swing over and run Steve's Loop while we are at it.

Its such a nice short run, there is no reason not to.
There is a beautiful view of Pyramind through the mountains coming down the back side of the run...I didnt have the camera set right to get a good photo of it. Next time.

Well, no dice on going to Moon Rocks this weekend. Come to find out, I am on duty this weekend. :bang::bang:
