I have a 1990 toyota pickup with a trail gear 5 inch lift. One of the tie rod castle nuts has stripped threads and trying to find replacement. The castle slotted nut (for cotter pin) looks to be a M14 x 1.25 (called very fine thread). I cannot find this nut anywhere. The M14x1.5 is available and I thought that was the size, however it would not thread on to the tie rod bolt. I tried trail gear however I would need to buy complete tie rod end. Would the original tie rod have used a M14x1.25 ? If so maybe try toyota dealer
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I will pick up a few of those hard to find bad boys. I searched the web, ace, lowes, mcmaster, grainger- no one has. Too bad they did not uses the M14x1.5 a lot of those available.

Really? Damn, wish I knew that earlier. Both inner and outer? Thanks for the info.

Yup, TG high steer uses FJ80 rod ends. Just redid mine since the TG joints suck compared to the 555 joints.

Ah, I overlooked that the TG high steer TRE’s deviate from the stock suspension ‘90 pickups. Thanks

mini tre use a smaller shank and the ball may be a bit smaller. 80 tre use 23mm shank.

and lets keep in mind, TQ didn't invent anything in this game. they have basically ripped off every product they sell.
og hy steer came about through all pro off road. (bundrant), mc may have also had a hand
