Steering stabilizer: stock vs OME

OME doesn't cost much more than a stock replacment, so why not? My truck runs the same size tire with the OME stabilizer. I am sold on OME after running their shocks on my FJ62 for a couple years. They make beefy and durable stuff. Wish I had gone with them when replacing the worn out, stock shocks on the pickup.

I dont doubt the quality of their stuff. I'm just wondering if its "too much" given the difference in size between the two. Kinda like putting a heavy duty valved shock on a lighter vehicle will give you a really harsh ride will the OME make for stiffer steering.

OME is the best on lightly/barely modified rigs. They make everything valved just right to keep everything healthy for miles and miles of outback overland travel. I wouldn't worry about stressing anything out. When we run 35" plus tires aired way down, now THAT taxes the power steering a bit, but it still doesn't wear it out, so I think your safe with a beefy stabilizer. I doubt the OME stabilizer is much stiffer than a new stock replacement anyway, it's just way better quality and probably has more fluid to resist fade etc.

for the cost over an OEM id do it.
