The steering on my 92 LC is okay until you turn it all the way to the left right then it tends to kick back and I really have to hold it to keep it there . Is my power steering pump shot or is my steering box causing this? Anybody else have any issue like this before . Thanks in advance . I have a pretty stock setup .

Not a bad idea . I'll take a look tomorrow !
Worn or loose belt.
When you reach an end stop, the belt is slipping on the pulley so you're loosing power steering and the wheel is kicking back.
Use OEM belts.

X2 on the above post (Loose belt). I've experienced this before on my 2nd generation 4Runner.
Original belt? 33yrs old? Time to replace it? It was probably overdue 23 years ago!

Rebuilt the knuckles
Brakes calipers and cylinders all around
Power steering lines and pump
Shocks all around
Wires and spark plugs
All fluids changed
This is just been a gremlin I have had for a bit that I now just have time to get too ha
Please change all the belts and hoses. Rubber parts don't owe you anything more after 33 years. It will leave you stranded.

OMG man message me I owe you a beer or drink . It steers like a dream now !!!!!!! I noticed the old belt had the power steering pump adjusted all the way to the top and it was a gates belt too . So there was no more increasing the tension on it . New belt was a tight but wow no more kickback and its amazing .
