I've been off-roading the truck and driving it to work. Taken it on a trip to Austin and a trip to McAllen. Did wel on the highway and was a blast on the trails. The carburetor struggles on the steep inclines but other than that, works great. About to take the top and doors off again and do weatherstripping/ Windows. Here are some pictures from the off-roading trips

Well I have done a lot since my last post. I painted the truck again, this time with real paint (ppg epoxy primer and single stage enamel) I have also completed the mechanical portion of the 1uz swap. I will dump lots of pictures and try to keep in chronological order. I also bought an fj60 and have done lots of work, I’ll create a separate thread on that.

custom flywheel
Mr2 turbo pressure plate
Jeep cj5 clutch (matches input shaft gear)
Sourced correct crank bearing for input shaft
Hydraulic throw out bearing kit from summit

Finished up the steering system fab over the thanksgiving holiday, made mounting plates and brackets etc. Also cleaned up the hole in the crossmember from previous Saginaw install before I had the truck.
