UPDATE - - on the road again!

After about a year she is back on the road again! Still a long list to work on, but sure is great to be rolling again under it's own power! Some of the changes accomplished in the last year:
Late model FJ40 front axle with disc brakes and 456 gears SOA
Shackle reversal
FJ60 rear axle with disc and 456 SOA
Saginaw
Replaced entire wiring harness
Added the 36 X 12.50 Super Swamper STXs

Quite happy with the disc brakes - stops on a dime and then some! Power steering is the bomb as well!

Great work man!
Had never seen this build before.
Where did you get that duraback liner you used on the inside of the tub?
I was gonna do mine black, but the wife thinks itll be too hot in the open top.
Did they have other colors? I kinda dig the gray, but it seems that it would be a B*THC to keep clean.
Was it expensive?

Nice job to you and your boy.

Hey Chicago, I used Durabak brand liner. They sell many different colors and types. Some have UV blockers, some textured and some smooth. The site I ordered it from no longer exists but I found a new one. Try durabakstore.com. If I remember correctly it wasn't cheap, maybe 100 a gallon. I sprayed mine using a cheap underbody spray gun. My son rolled part of his. Spraying is easy and looks very clean. I also bought a gallon of black smooth to do the underside once I am done with mods.

Hey Paul (Nick) I haven't made or bought a front driveshaft yet, but with only the rear we have put the locker to use and hit some nice obstacles, and it climbs like there is no tomorrow. I am hoping to find the time to deal with the front drive shaft next week.
