Hi all, took my wife to a Toyota dealer to test drive this GX460. She hates my GX470 but practically stained the driver seat of this GX460. She kept saying it’s a tank it’s solid it’s quiet. The last “tank” she drove was a 2014 Touareg TDI.

No we did not. She did spend the weekend looking at GX460 YT videos. All on her own.

We are looking, but don’t think it will be this one. This is a clean GX460. It has KDSS Lean to the Right, but that is a known issue and fixable.

Fortunately, like myself, you live in a climate that pretty much any GX you look at should be rust free and pretty clean. So you're only concerns should be accidents, mileage and maintenance.

DIY Fluid Film or Woolwax treatment is easy/cheap to apply and will stop rust in it's tracks. Funny, my GX was bought new at Lexus of Greenwich, CT in early 2007, spent a year or two in Philly, and then made it down here to MO (I always kind of wonder what the original owner was like, as they spent ~$55K in 2007 dollars on the rig just before the bottom fell out of the economy).

It was rusty-ish due to it's time in the NE and time here, but the rust has not progressed in the past 5 years after two treatments.
