FYI, if you're in the Craftsman Club thing, they're on sale for $14.99 through Saturday. I just bought one a couple of days ago. I'm wonder if you could also use it to break small nuts loose. Might try it on some rusted O2 sensor nuts this weekend.

I'm not that lucky. when i went to purchase mine as my rear axle was laying in pieces, they were not on sale. Still a great purchase and i'm sure i'll use it again and again.

Did you get the Craftsman one? I pulled mine out and whack it a couple times with the hammer, and nothing. Then I noticed you can turn the head by hand about 20 degrees, so I hit it again and it turned. Do you basically have to "rewind it" like this every time before you hit it? Mine had been opened before, so just trying make sure they sold me a damn good'n.

Thanks,

Yes, i purchased the craftsman one.

I had a similar experience the first hit, seemed like i just drove the bit into the screw. Then i gave it a little twist with the hand, wacked it again and then it started working like a charm. No need to rewind. It's tough to explain, but once you get it to twist, it should start working smoothly.

You're supposed to twist the tool as you strike it, the strike will add power.
