If my SSC completion label is not affixed to the front left door hinge post near the check strap. Will my local Toyota Dealership replace my o2 sensors or has the time frame past?

I assume Toyota has a way to search by VIN to verify if my 80 has had this done already, which chances are it has.

I got in touch with the previous owner, he never took it in for the o2's in paticular but was unsure if they went ahead and did this while performing any other services.

Figured it's a shot but I'd give it try anyway.:meh:

you can look up the service history of your LC on toyota's web site.

http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/parts-service/history

But the o2 sensors are a part that wears out in ~80k miles, not exactly a warranty item.

As an owner of a '94 myself, I feel bad for the chunk of change you are about to spend on o2 sensors, which are different for 93-94. Denso, Toyota, or forget it. Bosch is a 4 letter word around here. NGK gets muttered about in the shadows.

Get the part number and then buy the Denso O2 sensor on amazons web site for about $75-80 IIRC is what a lot of folks have done.

Any dealer should be able to run your vin and check for open recalls. If you want, you can pm your vin and I can check it in tis on Monday. Mine had not been done so I got the kit and used the sensors when I relocated them to the exhaust manifolds.

They did my 93 last year at 245,000 miles so I would say they probably will.

Hell yeah that's what I'm talking about.!! I'll verify my VIN and go from there. I have two OEM's on a shelf, I was reviewing my FSM on digits and noticed it came with a Service Campaign for the o2's and it sparked my curiosity.

So.... If I can have the Toyota tech's down the road do it for free then I'm sitting a small cash pile. I'm wondering if they will require my truck to have the codes in it because as of now it does not.

:clap:PM:clap:

Created an account. No service history on my 80 and it appears the service campaign was never completed I will call Toyota tomorrow and schedule a time to take it in.
I already have had two on the shelf I bought last year. Just happens I cleaned the old ones with brake fluid/air and the codes vanished. I am glad I found the SC before I did them myself.

Thanks for the heads up on the site.

No codes required

Mine had no codes. I found a recall notice in the glove box from sometime back in the Clinton administration right after I purchased it (along with a charged Taser) and I called the dealer on a whim. He verified the VIN and had me bring it in a couple of days later.

The 93-94 model years do not take Denso sensors, the Amazon trick only works on the 95 and up model years.

I looked it up on the link above, doesn't show anything. Called my local dealer and they said it was done in 1997. :bang:

I signed up and mine show no records of that either. Only a service on the front axle shortly before I bought it.
Wonder if I could get my current o2 sensors back if they replaced these with OEM?

Neither of mine showed on Toyota's website, but both of them had been done. Call a dealer and ask before you get frothy.

Damn.just called Toyota and it was done in 96'
:(

but the parts guy at Toyota just told me OEM is Denso for my 94.. and the Toyota kit 89465-60110 is not available in the states. Any recommendations? All I can find is NTK, Bosch, ACDelco..

I would be careful what you take as fact from your parts guy. There are very few knowledgeable ones out there. NTK is the OEM for 93-94

I went NTK from Rockauto for my '94. Last year though, unsure how current availability is.
