Avi I had to load and test a tow rig last night. You are not alone!

Good to know! I've always used a weight distribution hitch, but with 140K of good truck use, my suspension is tired, even with just the trailer empty the truck would squat hard. So I get an airbag kit and installed it, so this will be my first time using both! This mornings trip to work was good, but I live in Delaware where it is flat, well see how it does once I get into the hills of PA!

Great Day Fellas!

Thank you all for a great day and Avi, you saved the day. Always take a Toyota Master Tech on trail with you! Here a few more pics:

You weren't the only one who damaged their exhaust. I found out I bent my tailpipe up so it was shooting exhaust straight up into a rust hole. I found that out after the whole truck filled with smoke coming up a hill on the way home.

Yeah it was a great day of wheeling Saturday. Weather cooperated pretty well, no rain although it didn't warm up a lot. Then again it's March in PA!!!!! There was plenty of excitement owing partially to a great assortment of trails we did. Andy M was riding shotgun with Avi and they were in the lead. Two trucks all the way from New York state a nice 40 and a built 80, Avi's friend in his 2004 V8 4Runner,PVC Snorkel in his red 60, and I was riding shotgun with El Dahs in his Tacoma. Most trucks were lifted and lockers certainly did help. And I'll apologize here for forgetting names- a common function of old age I suppose! Anyway it was great meeting new people and seeing new rigs.
We started out driving all the way out the main road and headed up to do lower and upper anthracite. Yes, uphill. There was water running everywhere and as expected both trails were challenging especially to whoever didn't have a functioning locker or two. From there we went right into trail 55 Whiskey Ridge and also did the bowl area on that trail. Lotsa fun! We then went down Twister which has changed dramatically since we first started doing it. It was the first time I ever went DOWN Twister. Somewhere in this are we stopped for a lunch break.
From there we went over trail 9 and did the entire BA trail (the culvert trail), then did 9 and 9A on our way back toward the staging area. Off trail 9 we did a number of the neat little climbs and stuff on trails like 6 and 8. Good day only a few problems. The 80 from New York came down hard on a big sharp rock and then stalled. Turned out the truck's exhaust pipe landed right on the rock and go push up enough to damage the O2 sensor. Avi opined that a few fuse had been blown which turned out to be the case. The damaged O2 sensor was taped off, some fuses exchanged locations and off we went! Again, great to have a Toyota master tech in the mix!!!!!
All in all a great day of wheeling. We were on the trail a little before (AM and the PA guys were off the trail about 3:15 a good day's work. I'm hoping someone chimes in here and adds some names since I forgot so may! Looking forward to the next wheeling day for Keystone Cruisers!!!!!
