Good news,
All Wanda had was symptoms, no damage, no blockages, and best of all I just brought her home. I hink her heart is broke because of Jake, and she must be stressing out over him, he was awfully special to us.

Charlie, thanks for the offer, we have already found Jake's successor at Wayside Waifs, He's 4 months old, part german shepherd, part lab, sweet and laid back. He has massive feet so he's gonna get pretty big. He's being neuterd Tuesday then he's coming home on Friday to begin 4wheel training. It looks like he will be named Oscar.
 
Glad to hear Wanda is ok and back home! Good luck with the new pooch. Look forward to seeing him soon.
 
It's OK Craig, Wayside is closer to you anyway. Patti Glass (President of Wayside) and I go back 20 years, its a good organization. Hope Oscar does great in his new home. This spring I will buy a memorial brick in honor of Jake in our memorial walk at the center (with your permission). I only met him once but he and his family are great!

Bad news,
Oscar has been exposed to Parvo at Wayside Waifs. We used to squaredance with Max and Patti Glass. Where's your shelter Charlie, I'm guessing eveybody at Wayside Waifs has been exposed also.

That's a shame about Oscar. Parvo shut down Wayside last year for a while.
The Humane Society of Greater K.C. is at 55th and Parallel here in KCK. Unlike Wayside, we have quarantine rooms for dogs and cats that come into the shelter, helps keep Parvo away from main population. You can check out photos of what we currently have at hsgkc.org
My 40 is in the shop - voltage regulator and other electrical issues.

So sorry about Jake. Know how you feel, we had to put down our malamute last month. It's tough. Hope you have better luck finding a new dog and glad Wanda is okay. Two Old Crows won't be at Tuttle as we are going to a concert on the 17th. Have fun all of you who do go.
 
So far we have a whole lot of "tentatives" and not enough commitments from anyone to really plan meals... I think I estimated 16-18 people possible. (I have a list started but it’s on my work machine). If you know when your gonna be there then pm me and I'll post a list on monday

Lunches are on your own. byob. Any volunteers to cook?? If not then it’s byo-everything.

Let’s camp behind the camp host spot, it’s nice and flat and sheltered from the wind. In the off chance that area is being used by others we can jump over the hill and find a spot lakeside… Anyone have firewood they'd be willing to donate?

Right now I plan to head up early Saturday morning with my daughter. I’m pretty sure my folks will be down Friday night. I’ll tell them to camp by the bus :flipoff2:
 
You can take me off the tentative list, to the can't go list. My son made it through the final four and will have his tournament final next weekend. Can't miss the big one. I do have the cruiser back, but still have a tail light out. Why is it there is always two trips to the shop rather than having it fixed the first time? Attention to detail perhaps?
