I’m in the middle of reassembling my carburetor and I realized that my carb did not have a spring between the ball and the plunger. I’m using a Keyster kit but it didn’t come with a new spring. Can this spring be acquired anywhere? Is there a kit that has it included?

After checking out the diagram on SOR, it appears my carb may not have that spring. The piece between the ball and plunger looks exactly like what I have and is referred to as a discharge weight. Maybe I’m good?

Pin, discharge weight and check ball OR pin, spring and checkball. Either works, just need to use the right pin with the spring. F carbs used pin and weight where 2F uses pin and spring.

Bic or similar pen spring will work in a pinch, it has been NLA for a while from Toyota, similar springs are also found in 22R carbs.

Here are the two options. Left is F, right is 2F. Both can be exchanged

Note that left should have a o-ring above. And both will have a large check ball.

Mine definitely looks like the last picture you shared. However, I didn't see an o-ring when I disassembled it but I'm almost certain I saw one in the rebuild kit. Thanks so much for your clarification!
