I was planning on having my rock sliders installed for this trip, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Are there bypasses or easier lines to take if the rocker panels are in danger?

traildamage.com shows the great action shots, so I'm not sure if I can get around that stuff, especially parts of the rock garden.

Vehicle: 1985 Toyota truck with 3" lift, 31's and lockers.

Thanks

I was just on another forum and there is a couple that lives up there and they say spring creek isn't ready yet. I was just wondering if anyone was planning on going and if they new if it is open yet.

Are you talking about the trip on Rising Sun because that's on fathers day June 19th. I want to go but not gonna risk it without sliders yet.

Gotcha, if anyone has an extra seat or two we might tag along. Gotta check the schedule when she gets home.

I'm a little reluctant to commit on this trail only because of the amount of time I'm putting into my cruiser to get it ready for Ultimate Adventure 2011. I really like Spring Creek and I don't foresee a reason the cruiser won't be ready but I don't know for sure yet.

Lol... Time for a new strategy guys

What's y'alls opinion on my Rig making it through unscathed? Locked f&r, 35's, winch on 4" lift

It's been a couple of years since I've been through Spring Creek so the trail could be a little different than the last time I went through but you should be good to go with your setup.

I'm thinking I really need this run as one last shake down before the Ultimate Adventure trip.

I will be going North on 67 through Deckers up to 285 to Everygreen parkway to US 40 to I70.

Google Maps says its 2 hours 15 min with this route vs 2 hours 14 min to drive down to Colorado Springs and then up I25. If everyone else is going up I25 we need to set a meeting time in Downieville or Idaho Springs.

I'd like to go, but the kids & I atre doing the Starlight Saturday night ... so it depends how much work I get done on the bikes this week.

Hey, Eric, let's watch for each other at the Starlght.

As far as the trail toughness, I had no problem last year with my 40 (lockers, 33s, flexy rear susp). The only time I got into trouble was when I purposely went after an obstacle and got both ends in holes and pinned myself against a tree. Nuff said about that. I don't think anyone got photographic evidence on that one. Vic

There is also a few fj's going to go on chinaman's gulch that day also and quite a few going down to metberry on sunday. I plan on going down to metberry and would like to go somewhere on saturday as well.

matt W.

and who else is for sure? If it's just you and me chuck do you mind going to chinaman's instead and if not I am ok with spring creek.

Sounds like good time but by the looks of the trails i need a bit more body armor before i can tag along with the tacoma . Being new to the area there seems to be a few more places to wheel than wisconsin .
