Hi, new to this forum. 2025 Land Cruiser with 16000 miles. coolant temp gauge spikes quickly to High. Cools back down when car turned off. Happened twice over a couple of weeks period. Not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Thermostat sticking?

Take it to the dealer, it is under warranty.

I remember seeing a thread on Reddit re a similar issue, and it turned out to be the radiator fan connector not fully plugged in

I'd suggest watching actual coolant temp (in degrees Fahrenheit) via an OBDII dongle and phone app. It does not take much to overheat an all-aluminum engine and blow a head gasket...even one overheat to 230-240F can be enough to cause permanent damage. If it's getting above 220F I'd immediately pull over and let it cool down.
